My Top 5 Favorite Trends Coming this Fall/Winter 2016

Saturday, July 30, 2016

I can't believe it has almost been a year since I posted my Fall/Winter 2015 Trends! It has been a little over a year since I first started blogging! I first want to say a big thanks to all of my readers that have stuck with me since the very beginning and even my new readers! Thank you guys so much!

So, even though it is still July I'm finding that lots of stores are coming out with Fall/Winter pieces, and I know lots of you are already shopping for them or about to start! So I have some trends for you guys that are coming this Fall and Winter. These are just my favorites but at the very bottom you will see other trends that are also very big!

I hope you guys enjoy this post! I would love it if you would leave a comment letting me know what your favorite trend coming this Fall/Winter!

1. Bell Sleeve

Bell sleeves are definitely very 70's, which I can't get enough of! They are so easy to style and you can find all different types of bell sleeves to choose from. To create a completed 70's look you just need slip on a pair of flared denim, circle sunnies and you are ready to go. If you aren't sure you are ready to rock this 70's look you can make it more modern by adding a pair of skinny jeans and some booties.

2. Statement Choker

Chokers are bringing up their game this season. The runway showed some very embellished chokers which are absolutely stunning if you haven't seen them! But while looking online I found these ones that are my absolutely favorite! Chokers aren't just basic anymore, there are so many different options and looks to choose from you are bound to find the one that speaks to you and your style.

3. Velvet

Velvet is really hitting big this Fall/Winter! On the runway you saw velvet jackets, tops, dresses, pants, and so much more. You either love velvet or you don't. Personally I haven't owned anything velvet but I will give it a shot this season. If you want to try it out as well, remember you don't have to commit to a top or skirt, you could try smaller velvet items like a choker, scarf, or even a small detail of it like the Forever 21 kimono below.

4. Fur

Fur is one of those pieces that tend to be very risky. It's a statement piece that does stand out which sometimes scares people when styling it, but it definitely is fun to play around with. To down play a fur coat or vest you can always dress in casual apparel such as a basic tee, a pair of jeans, and some booties. However, you can always dress it up and create the ultimate boho look by wearing a very detailed dress or shirt underneath.
(All of these options are Faux Fur)

5. One Shoulder & Off the Shoulder

Off the Shoulders have been around for a while now, but just like chokers they are becoming more unique each season. Off the shoulders are such a great piece to have in your wardrobe. You can easily pair them just as you would with a basic tee but the biggest perk is that they aren't basic. If you aren't ready to commit to these off the shoulder tops, on the runway we also saw one shoulder, and cold shoulder tops.

Some other trends you will see this Fall/Winter 2016-2017 from the Runway

Embellished Purse Straps | Capes | Mens Wear | Leather Trench Coats | Sailor Coats | Hoodies | Metallic
