Skin Care 2018

MY SKIN TYPE: Acne-prone, extremely sensitive to fragrance and harsh chemicals, scarring, very dry skin, and rosacea.

BACKGROUND: I did use Accutane also know as isotretinoin to treat my acne about five years ago. I still get hormonal acne which is a couple pimples every now and then. I still have scarring from acne in the past but they are diminishing with time.

MY PRIMARY TARGET: In a skincare, I was looking for something to prevent aging and wrinkles. I smile a lot so I have developed cross feet and smiles lines. I was also looking for something moisturizing as I stated I have extremely dry skin so normal moisturizing products are not enough for me.

NO MAKEUP OR EDITING

As you can tell from the image above you will see some acne, scarring, and lots of redness. The redness in my face also flares up more in the summer or if I have been in direct sunlight. My skin
is very dewy in this picture because this was after I applied my night skin care.

SIDE NOTE: Not too long ago I posted about Puristry as my skin care; however, after a couple months I stopped seeing a difference and my skin was developing more fine lines from smiling. I loved Puristry because of its all natural ingredients but it just wasn't helping my overall target of preventing wrinkles and maintaining a dewy skin.

SO WHY DID I CHOOSE PHILOSOPHY?
I actually used Philosophy in the past and had such amazing results and loved their products but their price points actually pushed me away at the time. It does add up each individual product and I was on a budget and didn't feel okay spending so much on skin care. Silly me right? I found a product that worked for me but didn't continue to use it. That is why I went back and today I question why did I ever stop.

** If you follow my Facebook you will see that I mentioned Philosophy eye cream which was hope in a jar cause a rash near my eyes, however, I noticed the ingredients in the product was a little bit too much for my sensitive skin so instead I use it every other day switching between Lancome and Philosophy and since then I don't have a problem with it burning or drying the area.

DAY SKINCARE ROUTINE:

STEP ONE: GENTLE CLENSER (Purity Cleanser OR French Girl Charcoal Cleanser
STEP TWO: SERUM (Time in a bottle)
STEP THREE: MOISTURIZER (Renewed Hope in a Jar)
STEP FOUR: EYE CREAM (Hope in a Jar Eyecream & Lancôme Rénergie)
STEP FIVE: SUNSCREEN (Bareminerals)

NIGHT SKINCARE ROUTINE:

STEP ONE: MAKEUP REMOVER (Lancôme)
STEP TWO: CLEANSER WITH CLARISONIC (Purity Cleanser only)- I find it removes more dirt and makeup from my skin
STEP FOUR: NIGHT CREAM + SERUM (Ultimate Miracle Worker Night)
STEP FIVE: EYE CREAM (Hope in a Jar Eyecream & Lancôme Rénergie)

For my neck, I use Purity Made Simple Moisturizer because my neck isn't as dry as my face so I find that gives me the right amount of moisture.

That is my skincare routine step by step what I do every day. Since using these products I've noticed a drastic change in my skin as far as the texture it is more dewy and moisturized. I have also noticed some fine lines diminishing as well as some scarring in the texture, but I must mention I wouldn't say it helps diminish scarring in general but that's just what I noticed from my skin.

I hope you found this helpful since many of you asked specific questions and wanted to know what I use. I treated to keep each section short, sweet, and to the point. If you have any other questions feel free to message me on any of my social media I am more than happy to answer.

Also if you want to try out the products before buying definitely check out Sephora and try samples to find what works for you. Remember every skin type is different, what may work for you might not work for me and vice versa.
